Alex's Lemonade Stand Carnival
Every July 4th, Mount Pocono Campground turns the holiday into something bigger than fireworks. Our annual Alex's Lemonade Stand Carnival brings campers and the community together for a day of games, food and family fun — all raising money for childhood cancer research through Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.
The story behind Alex's Lemonade Stand
In 2000, four-year-old Alexandra "Alex" Scott set up her first lemonade stand to raise money for her hospital, telling doctors she wanted to help find a cure for all kids with cancer. Her stand grew into a national movement: Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation has since raised over $250 million to fund hundreds of childhood cancer research projects and support families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
